Clinical Study of the Antibiotic Effect of BANAN^(®)(Cefpodoxime pmxetil) on ENT patients

Abstract
|
|
|
The antimicrobial efficacy and safety of Cefpodoxime proxetil(BANAN´) was observed in 20 patients with various bacterial infectious condition of ENT department at the Kosin Medical College Hospital from May to Sep., 1994.
The results were as follows:
1. The overall efficacy rate was 85% in clinical trial.
2. There were no significant adverse effects such as hepatotoxicity or nephrotoxicity. 3. There were mild gastrointestinal adverse reaction(diarrhea)
From the above results, it was concluded that Cefpodoxime proxetil was effective and safe antibiotics in the treatment of various bacterial infectious condition of ENT patients.
